Lathe Stand
I built this stand for my lathe when I moved and acquired a new shop. After spending a few months setting the shop up I wanted to focus on a a piece of shop furniture. A lathe stand was fitting because I had previously discarded my old lathe stand prior to moving. I went all out of this piece, the body is cherry and all the panels are spalted chenchen. The top is a piece of reclaimed bowling alley, it provides plenty of mass to reduce vibration. It is a bit much for something that lives in the shop, but I think that being by surrounded by nice things is inspiring, so it is a source of inspiration within my shop. I built this in 2021.
