I built this mini sideboard as an entrance table for our house. It is built from cherry with quilted maple drawer fronts and panels. The leg cuff banding is maple and walnut. I embedded a magnet in the door and door stop so it has a nice closing action. I predict that as the cherry ages and darkens it will be a similar colour to the maple which is dyed with a honey amber dye. The finish is shellac with a poly topcoat. This was completed in October 2018.
