Curved Front Wall Cabinets

I built a matching, but different pair of curved front wall cabinets, these are a Matt Kenney design featured in Fine Woodworking. Both are built from riftsawn cherry, but feature different fronts and joinery. The darker one is walnut crotch and uses hand cut dovetails as the joinery. The lighter one is quilted maple and uses mitres for the joinery. These cabinets took way longer than I was anticipating, the number of glue ups with the bent laminated doors, drawers and the veneering was astounding. Fitting the curved drawers and doors was also quite a bit more challenging than their rectilinear counterparts. The maple cabinet is hanging in my entryway and the walnut was a housewarming gift for a close friend. These were completed in August 2017.
